BOY-RACERS continue to pose a serious danger on the highways of Cyprus.
Last night police stopped a 24-year-old man in Xylophagou who was caught driving at 123kph. He was charged and will appear in court at a later date.
The Ayia Napa – Xylofagou motorway is a favourite spot for bikers and boy racers running riot, especially late in the evenings and early hours.
Residents of Ayia Thekla have long complained the racers are shattering the peace in their village, which sits directly next to the motorway.
Also last night, two men were stopped and charged on the Limassol – Nicosia motorway after being clocked driving 178 Kph.
